Vacancy: Divisional ESG Coordinator
Location: Netherlands | 40 hours per week | Hybrid working possible
Make impact by connecting sustainability across borders
Terberg Special Vehicles is looking for a pragmatic and people-oriented Divisional ESG Coordinator to drive and coordinate ESG activities across our international division. You will be the connector between the divisional companies and the Royal Terberg Group sustainability team, ensuring execution of group-wide ambitions in a way that fits local operations. You don’t have to be an ESG expert – but you do need to be passionate about the topic, understand the bigger picture, and know how to bring people and the organization along.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate and run ESG projects
You will manage divisional ESG initiatives and projects, ranging from Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting to CSRD reporting and the implementation of climate transition actions. You know how to structure, plan and run projects effectively across different sites and cultures, and you monitor progress on both content and collaboration.
- Act as liaison between division and group
You serve as the primary link between our divisional companies and the central sustainability team. You align agendas, bring consistency, and ensure that insights, challenges and successes are shared in both directions. You represent smaller companies when they lack capacity, and ensure their perspective is not lost.
- Embed ESG into business operations
You work closely with local management and teams to embed ESG into existing management systems (such as ISO), identify valuable local initiatives, and ensure that ESG actions are practical and well-aligned with how the businesses operate. You support, guide and inspire — without taking over.
- Drive engagement and connect people
You are the driving force behind ESG in the division. You help craft and tell the sustainability story, translate complex topics into concrete actions, and connect people across companies and countries. You bring energy and structure and know how to get buy-in from stakeholders at every level.
- Travel requirement
You will be expected to travel several times per year, mainly within the EU. These are well-planned and scheduled business trips.
What you bring
- A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration or a related field
- 5 years of relevant experience in a corporate or operational environment
- Ability to run structured projects and drive progress in a decentralized context
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: able to engage others and tell the ESG story in a convincing and accessible way
- Experience with CSRD, circularity, GHG/net-zero and/or ISO
- Fluent in English and Dutch — both are a must
What we offer
- A coordinating and connecting role with real impact on how sustainability is embedded in our businesses
- A unique opportunity to work across companies and countries within a leading international family-owned group
- Autonomy, variety and collaboration in an informal yet ambitious environment
- Hybrid working possibilities (in agreement with your manager)
- Competitive benefits package
