Location: Warwick

Hours: 37 hours per week | between 06:30 and 16:00 Monday to Thursday  

Hourly Rate: Up to £17.61 DOE

Join our Production team at Warwick as a Welder Fitter! You'll use your expertise in medium to heavy steel fabrication to create components for refuse collection vehicles. Working on the production welding line you'll ensure all products meet BS EN ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards whilst maintaining top-notch quality.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Quality Assurance: Take personal responsibility for the quality of your work, support suppliers, raise awareness of quality issues, and promote a proactive approach to team and quality initiatives.
  • Team Working: Assist team leaders in forming recovery programs, encourage team participation and communication, maintain a positive attitude, and carry out reasonable requests.
  • Health & Safety: Use PPE correctly, highlight potential risks, promote good housekeeping, and adhere to company guidelines.
  • Flexibility: Improve job knowledge, move within your area and to other departments as required, and show cooperation when moving between areas.
  • General Duties: Attend work daily, be punctual, demonstrate self-discipline, and follow company policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:

  • Essential: Experience in MIG & MAG welding, medium-heavy fabrication of steel (2mm to 10mm), welding/fabrication qualifications, ability to build and tack weld from drawings, spot visual faults, read and understand engineering drawings, multi-skilling flexibility, and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Desirable: Welding approval certificates, BSEN 287 approved coded welding, ability to use pendant crane, computer literacy
