Role: Strategic Sourcing Manager

Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE

Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 Friday

 

We're on the look out for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to oversee the seamless acquisition of goods, materials, and services, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and timely delivery. This pivotal role encompasses team leadership and project management, empowering you to drive efficiency and excellence in our procurement operations.

 

In this role you will:

  • Ensure continuous supply chain management, proactively addressing any potential disruptions or risks
  • Facilitate seamless collaboration between Engineering and Purchasing teams for timely project execution
  • Monitor and analyse component costs, providing insightful reports to project teams
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance for strategic decision-making
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives, negotiate contracts, and assess supplier performance to enhance operational efficiency and compliance

 

Qualifications that set you apart include:

  • Knowledge steel and Fabrication manufacturing
  • Proven purchasing experience, preferably within an automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Project management experience
  • Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the UK & Europe
