1869


Johannes Bernardus Terberg sets up a blacksmith’s forge in the village of Benschop, near Utrecht in the Netherlands, and his work is continued by later generations.

1949


The business starts converting trucks obtained from the American army for use in the construction industry. Later on Terberg starts building complete vehicles.

1966


Delivery of the first Terberg 6x6 dump truck, the SF1200 based on a Terberg chassis. For many years, Terberg dumpers are widely used on construction projects in the Netherlands.

1972


The first Terberg trucks are exported to customers in Western Europe and the Middle East at a wide range of construction sites.

1973


Delivery of the first Terberg Terminal Tractor, to a customer in the Port of Rotterdam. It provides a much more efficient alternative for handling trailers in ports.


Establishment of Terberg Machines Environmental Equipment.

1984


Establishment of Terberg Leasing, as universal leasing company.

1988


Start production of the first type of environmental equipment loading system.

1990


Establishment of Terberg Matec UK.

1996


Establishment of Terberg Matec France.

Terberg Special Vehicles: establishment of Terberg DTS UK.

Terberg Special Vehicles: establishment of Terberg Nordlift GmbH.

Establishment of Terberg Kinglifter Truck Mounted Forklifts.

Establishment of Terberg Middle East (Terberg Special Vehicles).

Establishment of Terberg Tractors Americas in Miami, Florida (Terberg Special Vehicles).

Merger Terberg Group and RosRoca Group.

2018

Acquisition Manuport Italy (Terberg Special Vehicles).

Terberg Group celebrates 150 years and receives a Royal Warrant from the King of the Netherlands.

Change in the board at the Royal Terberg Group. George Terberg hands over chairmanship to his cousin Godfried Terberg.

Dennis Eagle Inc. sets up a factory in Summerville, SC and starts production of refuse trucks.

Terberg Specials is sold to Veth Automotive.

Terberg Business Lease Group is sold to Arval.

Joint Venture Terberg Taylor Americas Group is establised by JV partners Royal Terberg Group and Taylor Group of Companies. The new company is setting up a factory in Mississippi to produce terminal tractors by mid-2024.
