About the role:
As Senior HR Business Partner, you play a key role in shaping and embedding HR practices that strengthen the organisation today while preparing it for the future. Based at our head office in IJsselstein, you work closely with the Global HR Director (your manager), the HR Operations Specialist, the Recruiter, and specialists in Learning & Development and Reward. You will be part of the headquarters of Royal Terberg Group, where approximately 125 employees work across Finance, IT, Sustainability, Legal & Tax and other expert areas.

Together, you are building a future‑focused and professional HR function that supports the continued growth and development of Royal Terberg Group. In this role, you are not just maintaining what exists, you are actively shaping what HR will look like next.

You will:

  • Build and continuously improve HR processes and ways of working, together with your HR colleagues
  • Help evolve HR from a primarily operational and supportive function into a strong advisory and guiding partner for the business

What you do on a daily basis:

In your day‑to‑day work, you combine insight with hands‑on execution. You act as a trusted sparring partner for the business, while staying closely connected to what is happening on the ground.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a strong advisor for management
  • Initiating and facilitating organisation‑wide HR initiatives, such as focus groups, to actively enhance the employee experience
  • Executing the annual HR cycle, including performance management, talent management (nine‑box) and succession planning
  • Managing absence processes in close collaboration with the HR Operations Specialist
  • Contributing to recruitment together with the Recruiter, from interviews to offers and contracts
  • Reviewing existing HR processes and developing new, practical ways of working that truly fit day‑to‑day reality
  • Taking on operational HR activities where needed, always with an eye on what the organisation needs most

What you bring:
You are a senior HR professional who combines sound judgement with a pragmatic, proactive mindset.

You bring:

  • At least 10 years of experience in a broad HR role, preferably in an international and changing environment
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level of working and thinking
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment law and current HR trends
  • Experience with contractual and legal HR matters, in close collaboration with Recruitment and Legal
  • Experience with HR process digitalisation and an affinity with AI (a strong plus)
  • Strong organisational awareness, analytical skills and an action‑oriented approach
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
  • A structured way of working with strong attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to use data effectively within HR processes
